Vegetable Broth Recipe Crock Pot
Mix 1 2 cup of olive oil with 1 4 cup of maple syrup and 1 tablespoon of dry sage.
Vegetable broth recipe crock pot. Preheat oven to 375 degrees f 190 degrees c. Sauté for about 5 minutes or until softened and slightly browned stirring frequently. Add clean vegetable scraps to crock pot and cover with water.
Grab a large bowl and set a colander over the top. And then it s time to drain. Add the onions garlic carrots celery bell pepper and mushrooms to the crock pot.
Let cool 30 minutes. Add the optional add in ingredients if using. Your broth is done when it s golden and the veggies are super tender.
Add the veggie scraps to your crock pot then fill the crock pot with water this is about 10 cups of water in my crock pot. This is a terrific broth with caramelized roasted vegetables as a base. Cook on low heat until vegetables are tender about 6 hours.
Add salt and pepper to taste pour over the vegetables and allow to marinate for 10 minutes before placing them in the crockpot. Once hot add oil or water onion garlic carrots and celery. Place all ingredients in slow cooker with 7 cups water.
Strain the vegetable broth from the lifeless veggies. Roast bones in the preheated oven until browned 25 to 30 minutes. Cover and refrigerate for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 1 month.
