Sprinkle bacon cheese and onion in pastry lined pie pan.

In a skillet saute onion in remaining butter until tender. Spread in pastry shell. Bake 30 35 minutes longer or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
Place the onion in the pan and cook over a medium heat for 8 minutes or until golden. Sprinkle cheese and bacon on top of caramelized onions. Heat oven to 450 f.
