Recipe For Rice Krispie Treats With Chocolate On Top

Because chocolate can be temperamental when melting i prefer to prepare chocolate rice krispie treats on the stove top.

Recipe for rice krispie treats with chocolate on top. Let cool until the chocolate sets. Dip the top of each treat into the chocolate so the tops are completely coated in chocolate and even and smooth. Melt the chocolate in a heatproof bowl over a pan of simmering not boiling water.

Add the rice krispies mixing lightly until well coated. Spread the chocolate on top of the treats and refridgerate until cool and hardened. Cut the treats into 20 even squares.

Melt the chocolate in the microwave unti smooth checking and stirring often. Follow fine dining lovers on. If so melt the butter and marshmallows in a large bowl first on high for one minute.

Let the treats cool completely or put the pan in fridge for 30 minutes. Melt the chocolate in the microwave until it can be stirred smooth. Stir in rice krispie treats.

5 press into the tin pressing down with dampened hands and flatten the top. Stir and continue to microwave in 30 second intervals until fully smooth. Turn into a buttered 9x9 pan and pack down using a buttered so it won t stick spatula.
