Oven Roasted Brussel Sprouts With Onion And Bacon

Oven roasted brussel sprouts with onion and bacon. Mix brussels sprouts bacon onion olive oil garlic powder cayenne and salt together in a large bowl. While brussels sprouts are baking slice red onion into thick cuts. Place in a bowl with sliced bacon and red onion.
Shake pan halfway through to flip brussels sprouts. Clean and trim brussels sprouts and cut them in half. Remove from the oven.
Cook stirring until golden 6 to 8 minutes. Place in center rack of oven. Add sage and the bacon or pancetta and toss to combine.
Spread out on a baking tray and cook in the oven for approximately 25 30 minutes turning them halfway through cooking. Add bacon or pancetta. For smaller ones you can leave them whole.
Roast in the preheated oven until bacon is crispy and reaches 145 degrees f 63 degrees c about 40 minutes stirring after 20 minutes. Drizzle with balsamic glaze if desired. Season with olive oil salt pepper garlic powder and red pepper flakes.
Place the brussels sprouts onto a large sheet pan in a single layer. Remove with a slotted spoon to a plate. Trim the brussel sprouts and cut in half lengthwise.
