Recipe Potato Soup With Ham
Remove about half of the potatoes.

Season with salt and pepper to taste add cayenne if desired and add cream. Stir in the chicken bouillon salt and pepper. Bring to a boil then cook over medium heat until potatoes are tender about 10 to 15 minutes.
Slowly stir in the roux and turn your soup. Cube the potatoes into about 1 inch pieces. Add potatoes to pot.
Add the chicken broth and diced potatoes. Using a potato masher or fork mash the potatoes slightly to thicken. With a potato masher mash the soup a few times leaving plenty of whole chunks of potato.
