Recipe Quiche Tomato Cheese
Slice your large tomato into 4 to 6 sliced and arrange on top or halve the cherry tomatoes.
Recipe quiche tomato cheese. Heat cheddar cheese onion salt mustard and worcestershire sauce over low heat stirring constantly until cheese is melted. Cut tomatoes into thin slices. Reduce heat to 325.
Layer onions over cheese and top with tomatoes. Nb the quiche can look done after only 20 minutes or so but don t be tempted to take it out too early or the middle will still be quite soft. Spread 1 cup shredded cheese in the bottom of pie crust.
Bake until top begins to brown and a knife inserted in the center comes out clean 35 40 minutes longer. Cook uncovered in 325 degree oven just until set about 25 minutes. Combine the eggs milk and cream in a bowl and season well.
Sprinkle with remaining cheese. Pour into pie shell. Beat eggs in large bowl until foamy.
Beat cheese mixture in gradually. Pour in the boiling water and simmer until the tomatoes are softened 5 to 10 minutes. Sprinkle tomato slices with flour and basil then saute 1 minute on each side.
Let stand 10 minutes before cutting. Sprinkle most of the cheese in the pastry case top with the tomatoes basil leaves and sprinkle with chives. Sprinkle with additional cheddar cheese.
