Recipe Scalloped Potatoes Au Gratin
Melt butter in a large pan over medium heat.
Recipe scalloped potatoes au gratin. Step 2 in a saucepan heat up the cream with the bay leaves thyme garlic nutmeg and some salt and pepper. Simmer uncovered for 15 20 minutes or until most of the liquid is absorbed. Add garlic and saute another 1 2 minutes.
Add the onions and saute until softened and beginning to brown. Pour over the potatoes. Step 3 while the cream is heating up.
Melt the butter in a large pot over medium high heat. Bake 5 minutes longer or until cheese is melted. Carefully place skillet in oven.
Cover dish with greased aluminum foil and bake 1 hours in the preheated oven. Add the garlic and continue cooking 1 minute longer. Preheat oven to 400 degrees f.
Add onion and saute for 5 6 minutes until they begin to soften and turn translucent. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees f. Mix soup remaining in first can with milk.
Bake uncovered at 350 for 10 15 minutes or until bubbly and potatoes are tender. Step 3 layer about half the remaining potatoes atop the first layers. Add the remaining potatoes and pour the remaining sauce.
