Easy quiche lorraine recipe puff pastry. Cut a large piece of baking parchment then scrunch into a ball. Bake on a baking sheet for 15 20 mins until the sides are crisp and set. Prepare a 9 inch deep dish pie plate.
In a bowl mix together the eggs milk and cream then add cooked bacon. In a large bowl combine eggs whipping cream and spices. In a frypan melt butter and saute onion and garlic if using until soft.
Open it out and use to line chilled pastry case then tip in baking beans with more against the sides to support pastry wall when baking. Beat until very well combined. This was lovely and rustic looking.
Line a pie tin with puff pastry. Set oven to 425 degrees will reduce oven temperature later. Bake the pastry case blind.
Roll out pastry to fit the pie plate. I wanted to prepare the puff pastry into a tart like quiche so i had to adjust the egg milk mixture to a quarter when using 1 puff pastry and eyeballed the cheese but kept everything the same with an addition of green onions.
