Pumpkin Yam Pie Recipe
Pour into pie crusts.

In a large bowl combine and mix well pumpkin sweet potatoes milk eggs spices vanilla sugars and syrup. In a small bowl combine the pecans brown sugar and cream. Spread into a greased 15x10x1 in.
Remove hot pie and set on raw dough cut outs on hot pie with 10 minutes remaining. In a food processor or blender add the yams and puree. Remove from burner and cool to luke warm.
Trim and flute edges. Place on a cookie sheet. Cool on a wire rack.
Pour batter into raw pie shell. Pour pumpkin mixture into pastry. Mix the mashed sweet potato and pumpkin puree with brown sugar traditional pumpkin pie spices eggs and a can of sweetened condensed milk.
In a large sauce pan or dutch oven add the pumpkin ginger pureed yams sugar cinnamon nutmeg and salt. Then lower temperature to 350 f and bake for 45 minutes longer. Use an electric mixer to make sure the sweet potatoes are smooth and to remove any strings from the sweet potatoes.
