Sprinkle grated cheese over top of potato onion mixture.
Recipe for scalloped potatoes using evaporated milk. Pour the can of evaporated milk into the same dish. Cook over medium heat stirring occasionally until onion is softened. Add water then stir in evaporated milk.
Oven for 15 minutes. Cook stirring occasionally for 1 to 2 minutes or until onion is tender. Mix the soup and the evaporated milk together and pour over potatoes.
Stir in flour salt and pepper. Cook stirring constantly until mixture comes to a boil. In saucepan mix soups milk and butter.
Melt butter or fat in a large frying pan over low heat. Melt butter in same saucepan until sizzling. Arrange potatoes in prepared baking dish.
Gradually stir in evaporated milk and water. Stir in flour salt and pepper. 1 large onion sliced.
Cook 3 4 minutes at medium high heat. Arrange potatoes in prepared baking dish. Peel and slice potatoes and place in baking dish.
