Combine the flour baking soda cinnamon salt allspice and cloves.

Beat sugar and 1 2 cup 1 stick butter in large mixer bowl until well blended. Add pumpkin egg and vanilla. Beat in the pumpkin eggs and milk.
Cool baked cookies on wire rack. Drop rounded spoonfuls of dough onto greased cookie sheet. In a large bowl cream shortening and sugar.
Gradually add to creamed mixture. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Drop by rounded tablespoon onto prepared baking sheets.
Beat until light and creamy. Mix butter and sugars in large bowl with spoon. Smooth tops of cookies.
