Drain on paper towels then chop coarsely.
Quiche lorraine recipe puff pastry no cream. Preheat oven to 180c or 160c for a fan assisted oven. Add sufficient water to give a soft but not sticky dough. Spray a 23cm 9 inch pie dish with cooking oil.
Beat until very well combined. Beat the eggs milk and pepper together and pour over the filling in the flan dish. Scatter over the chopped ham and cheese.
In a medium bowl whisk together eggs cream salt sugar and cayenne pepper. Add carrot zucchini and onion and mix. 1 sheet of puff pastry thawed.
Place quiche tin with cooked quiche crust on tray. Scatter cooled bacon filling evenly across base of cooked quiche crust. Add bacon and stir thoroughly.
Pour the egg mixture in the pie crust and sprinkle cheese if desired over the top of the quiche. Add a pinch of salt and pepper to taste. This was lovely and rustic looking.
Lightly roll the pastry on a floured board then roll it out and use to line the flan dish. Prepare a 9 inch deep dish pie plate. 250g 9oz block of light cream cheese.
