Recipe for old fashioned jam roly poly. Pour mixture over the top of the roly poly place in an oven at 450 degrees for 10 mins then 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Roll the dough out to a 22cm x 32cm 8 in x 13in rectangle. Turn dough out onto a floured surface and roll 1 4 thick.

Heat oven to 180c 160c fan gas 4. Pull the roasting tin out on its shelf fill two thirds with boiling water from the kettle then carefully slide it back in. Preheat your oven to 170 c and line a 2lb loaf tin with parchment paper to prevent your roly poly from sticking.
In a large bowl mix together flour baking powder salt and sugar. The recipe itself seems somewhat old fashioned to me but then again i ve never cooked with suet before. Pour in the milk and gather the dough into a ball.
