Recipe For Sweet Potato Pie Crust
In the bowl of an electric mixer combine the sweet potatoes and sugar.
Recipe for sweet potato pie crust. Coat a pie dish with cooking spray then fill the bottom of the dish with a layer of sweet potato slices. Add remaining ingredients to sweet potato puree and stir to combine. Cut in 1 2 cup cold butter until crumbly.
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees fahrenheit. Bake until the crust is golden brown and filling no longer. Like all the way dry.
Rinse your shredded sweet potato in cold water then squeeze and blot dry. Combine 1 1 4 cups all purpose flour and 1 4 tsp. Plus it helps form the crust.
Let cool to room temperature. Fill the unbaked pie shell with sweet potato mixture. Once the entire dish is filled coat one more time with cooking spray.
Stir in a little salt and one egg. Remove the pie crust from the oven and let it cool on a wire rack. Gradually add 3 5 tbsp.
Beat until incorporated and then add the eggs butter milk vanilla cinnamon cloves and salt. Cut the sweet potato rounds in half and fill around the edges of the pie dish. This will get your crust crispy on the edges.
