Recipe Spaghetti Butternut Squash
Butternut squash browned butter and sage flavor this simple pasta dish and make it somewhat special.
Recipe spaghetti butternut squash. Add the butternut squash noodles to the meat sauce and gently toss to combine. 1 vegetable stock cube. Salt and pepper to taste.
Cook spaghetti until just tender about 10 minutes or as package label directs. This is a delicious way to enjoy butternut squash but you can also use another winter squash like kabocha or an edible pumpkin in this dish. Stir adding pasta water as necessary to moisten.
3 sage leaves chopped. Toss the squash with the remaining oil and some seasoning then spread over a large shallow baking tray. Add onion and cook stirring often until softened and beginning to caramelize about 5 minutes.
3 slices bacon crisp cooked and crumbled. Add squash apple and sage and cook stirring often until lightly caramelized about 5 minutes. Pre heat oven to gas mark 7.
Add the chicken and 1 4 cup cheese and cook until hot. 15 oz dairy free cheddar cheese grated or sliced i used violife mature cheddar cheese 1 1 2 lb. Cup walnuts chopped and toasted.
Add the garlic parcel to the tray and roast for 30 mins or until the squash is soft and starting to caramelise. Small handful of sage. Stir in the uncooked spaghetti.
