Shrimp Scampi Recipe Cast Iron Skillet
Use a cast iron skillet to saute and cook the shrimp.
Shrimp scampi recipe cast iron skillet. Remove shrimp and set aside. Melt the butter with the remaining olive oil in a large well seasoned cast iron skillet over medium high heat. Cook until wine is reduced by half.
Add shrimp and cook until tender and no longer translucent reduce heat. Add garlic and cook 2 3 minutes. White wine is the secret ingredient.
Add the garlic and half of the butter to the pan then stir in the wine and lemon juice. Add the garlic and sauté for 3 minutes being careful not to burn. Return the shrimp to the pan and turn to coat in the warm sauce.
Drain the water and pat the shrimp dry with paper towels. Use fruity white wine for the best recipe. Heat cast iron skillet and add olive oil.
After it is reduced add italian seasoning. Stir in the parsley. Add the shrimp 1 teaspoon of kosher salt and the pepper.
Add white wine and lemon juice. Do not allow garlic to brown it will make it bitter. Use a slotted spoon to transfer the shrimp to a plate.
