Rice Pudding Recipe Rose Water
Prepare the rose water simple syrup by combing the sugar lemon juice and water in a small saucepan.
Rice pudding recipe rose water. Separate 4 tablespoons of milk. Pour rose water into mixture and stir until bubbles appear on the surface. You just need to mix the ingredients in a pot on low medium and stir it continually.
Combine remaining milk with coconut milk and cinnamon bring to a boil. Simmer on lowest heat for 5 minutes to infuse the flavours. Ferni is a sweet rice pudding with rose water served with cinnamon and crushed pistachios.
In a medium sized pot cook the unwashed rice with one cup of water over medium low heat until all the water is gone. Cover and simmer until water is absorbed about 15 minutes. Place the pudding rice in a large non stick saucepan.
Pour rice pudding into a bowl and refrigerate until chilled at least 1 hour. Remove from heat and allow to sit for 5 minutes to thicken and transfer to serving bowls. Serve pudding cold with almonds sprinkled on top.
Add cream and sugar. Bring to a boil and cook until rice is tender. Whisk egg yolks with retained 4 tablespoons of milk and stir into still hot rice.
Remove from heat and take out cinnamon stick. In a heavy saucepan combine water and rice. Once the syrup has cooled pour into a jar and set aside.
