Rice Pudding Recipe Vanilla Bean
Scrape in the seeds from the vanilla bean.
Rice pudding recipe vanilla bean. Heat a large pot add hot water and rice on a medium heat. Heat water the amount should cover the rice completely in the pot. Increase heat to medium.
With a small sharp knife cut the vanilla bean in half lengthwise. Simmer the mixture on medium heat stirring constantly until milk is reduce and pudding is thickened about 20 minutes. Preheat oven to 315 degrees f.
Add water to dissolve the corn starch and set aside. Stir to combine and set vanilla bead pod on top. Use a paring knife to scrape the beans from the vanilla pod.
Reduce the heat to medium and simmer until the rice is. Combine the milk and rice in a heavy medium saucepan. Bake for 25 minutes stir.
Remove pudding from heat and discard. Bring just to a boil and then stir in the cooked rice. Stir continually scraping any rice that sticks from the bottom of the pot until mixture reaches a boil.
In the meantime combine the milk and sugar and stir to combine. Soak the rice in hot water an hour before. This vanilla bean rice pudding is a silky creamy slightly sweetened rice custard full of aromatic vanilla bean and slightly spiced with cinnamon.
