Squash Casserole Spaghetti Squash Recipe
Preheat oven to 400 degrees f 200 degrees c.
Squash casserole spaghetti squash recipe. Lightly spray a 1 5 quart baking dish with olive oil cooking spray. Bake squash in the oven for 45 minutes until tender. Cook and stir for 1 2 minutes or until liquid is absorbed.
In a skillet cook beef onion red pepper and garlic until meat is browned and the vegetables are tender. Halve the spaghetti squash with a sharp knife and using a spoon remove seeds before pouring olive oil on the inside of the spaghetti squash and season with salt and black pepper to taste. Step 2 pierce spaghetti squash in several places with a knife.
Microwave uncovered on high until tender about 10 minutes. Sprinkle with 1 teaspoon of the salt and 1 2 teaspoon of the pepper. Place spaghetti squash cut side down on the baking sheet and roast in oven on middle rack for about 40 50 minutes.
Pierce the spaghetti squash in a few spots with a sharp knife. Bake at 400 degrees f until tender 40 to 50 minutes. Arrange cut sides down on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Turn to the other side and microwave 6 more minutes until soft to the touch. Place squash cut side down in a microwave safe dish. Alternatively place squash halves cut side down on a rimmed baking sheet.
To make the spaghetti squash preheat oven to 350 degrees f and cut squash right down the middle. Transfer to an ungreased 1 1 2 qt. Preheat oven to 425 f.
