Potato Soup Recipe Kosher
Using a slotted spoon remove half of the potato cubes.

Bring to a boil and boil until potatoes are fork tender. Leave skin on potatoes but wash thoroughly instead. Cook over a medium flame until the onions are translucent.
In a large pot sauté onion in oil or butter until golden. In a large pot melt the butter and add the onions. Let cook for a few minutes.
Add soy based imitation bacon bits. Place flanken into a mesh soup bag this will make it easier to remove before blending. Put the potatoes celery and onions in a stock pot.
Add vegetables water and seasonings. While the onions are still cooking put the diced potatoes carrots water and vegetable stock into another soup pot and bring to a boil. Add salt garlic powder and black pepper.
Drain reserving one cup potato liquid. Add kosher cheddar cheese no longer parve. Add milk and bring to a boil again.
