Recipe Tomato Soup Cake
Use a stand mixer or hand mixer so that the ingredients come together easily.
Recipe tomato soup cake. Cream sugar egg butter salt cinnamon and cloves. Give it a good but quick mix. Grease a rectangular baking dish or cake ring tin.
In a large bowl cream sugar and shortening. Mix in tomato soup and bicarbonate of soda mixture and then mix in the flour. While the oven is heating whisk the flour baking powder allspice cinnamon and cloves in a large bowl.
Set the bowl aside. The cake will take about 28 30 minutes to bake. Cream sugar egg butter salt cinnamon and cloves.
In a large bowl whisk together the flour sugar baking powder baking soda allspice cinnamon and cloves. Put in the oven for 30 minutes or until the top of the cake springs back when to you gentle press it. Beat the butter and granulated sugar in a large bowl with an electric mixer at medium speed until the mixture is creamy.
Lightly grease and flour 2 8 or 9 inch round cake pans. In a medium bowl combine the tomato soup melted butter eggs and milk. Bake at 325 degrees f 165 degrees c for 1 hour or until done.
Fold in the raisins. Mix in tomato soup and soda mixture and then flour. Beat into first mixture.
