Roasted Garlic Mashed Potatoes Recipe
Cover pot and bring to a boil.
Roasted garlic mashed potatoes recipe. Mash the potatoes. I added 4 tbl of sour cream. Peel and boil potatoes in salted water until tender.
Cook until fork tender and drain. Force the cooked potatoes through a ricer recommended or mash by your usual method. Preheat oven to 200 c 180Âșc fan.
Squeeze garlic cloves into a bowl. Step 2 dice the potatoes and boil in a pot of water until fork tender 25 to 30 minutes. Bring to a boil.
After about 30 minutes check if potatoes are soft then drain in a colander. Mash the roasted garlic with a fork or force through a fine strainer. Cook uncovered until potatoes are tender 10 15 minutes.
Cover potatoes with a few inches of water about 6 cups and season with salt. Drain and return to the pan over low heat. Mash with a fork until smooth.
I was only making this for 2 people so i used one head of garlic and one pound of russet potatoes. Meanwhile heat butter and cream until butter melts. I used seasoned salt and sea salt then mashed the potatoes with the garlic milk to desired consistency and butter to taste 2 3 tbl.
