Recipe Pork Roast Dutch Oven
Brown sliced onions until nicely carmelized.
Recipe pork roast dutch oven. Add salt and pepper as needed. When lard just begins to give off smell of being hot place roast in pot. At the 45 minute mark turn your oven down to 375 degrees and set your timer for 1 hour.
Place the dutch oven on the stove top. Whisk together the cornstarch with the water in a bowl and add it to the liquid in the dutch oven. Place bay leaves in the bottom of a cast iron dutch oven.
Entire roast should be seared including ends. Then add 5 cups of water or beef stock and place lid on dutch oven. Bring the liquid to a boil and whisk.
Remove the pork roast to a plate and cover it with aluminum foil to keep it hot. When the timer goes off lower the temperature to 300 degrees for 1 to 2 hours. In a small bowl mix together all dry ingredients.
Move to side then add the roast to hot dutch oven to seer all sides just until browned. Combine chicken stock lemon juice and soy sauce. Peel and slice the garlic cloves.
In a dutch oven heat olive oil on stovetop. Place your roast into the dutch oven cover with the lid and put in the oven. Salt and pepper all sides of pork roast.
